The park scenic overlook provides a panoramic view of the Bienville National Forest. The gently sloping landscape is particularly striking during the fall, when the forest is bright with autumn color.

Pleasure boating Memorial weekend until Labor day ONLY No pets or feeding of deer allowed at the Roosevelt Whitetail Deer Research Facility Swimming Pool is open beginning Memorial Day Weekend. Pool hours are 9:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. Pool closes Labor Day. Hours and days of the week operation are subject to change depending on lifeguard availability.
