Description

Natchez State Park is located just 10 miles north historic Natchez, the oldest settlement on the Mississippi River. Prior to the Civil War, over half of the millionaires in the entire United States lived in Natchez, constructing elegant mansions unrivaled in size and elegance by any in the nation. Most of these splendid homes were spared during the Civil War, and many are now open for tours.

Natchez State Park is also famous in its own right. The largest bass in Mississippi history a largemouth weighing 18.15 pounds - was caught in Natchez lake in 1992.

Natchez State Park has two improved campgrounds and one primitive camping area. The improved campgrounds are separated by a distance of approximately two miles. Both improved campgrounds have dump stations. All improved sited are concrete pads and accessible by paved roads. Check in time is 4 PM and check out is 2 PM. Natchez accepts credit card, cash, money order, or checks. All credit card transactions have to be completed at park office. (Master Card or Visa Accepted).

You must be 21 years of age to make reservations for campsites. Quiet hours are from 10 PM until 6 AM and are strictly enforced. No person shall operate our use radios, phonographs, or other sound producing equipment in any area of the park or lake, which is audible beyond the immediate vicinity so as to disturb any other person.

Generators are not allowed anywhere in the park, unless prior approval is given by the park manager.

Person with pets shall pick up and properly dispose of excrement deposited by pets. All pets are to be restrained on a leash, not more than six feet long. Pets that DISTURB guest will be removed from the park or lake.
